Li-Young Lee Reads His Poetry

One of the best things about contemporary poetry in the United States and around the world is the presence of diverse voices.  Unlike a lot of contemporary poetry, which is inescapably tied to a familiar middle-class American sensibility, the poetry of Li-Young Lee rings with a uniquely Eastern tone that sets it apart in many small ways, but more than anything else, it aches with a quiet beauty that is uniquely Lee.  Here is a video of him giving a reading.  I highly recommend picking up any of his collections.  My personal favorite is The City in Which I Love You.
