Of all the popular political leaders, Sarah Palin is one whose skill appears to be seeming relavent while not running for president, not holding political office, and generally doing nothing to help the country. This boggles me. The problem is the press, who eats up anything Palin. It’s generally understood that those items which the press chooses to cover are the items considered news-worthy, not the other way around. If the media were to stop covering the life and business of a woman who quit her post as Alaskan governor half-way through, interest in her doings would surely decrease. Unfortunately, an end to the seemingly endless stream of Palin news looks far off, especially with the recent release of thousands of pieces of email correspondence from her stint as governor.
I suppose we’ll just have to wait until the fervor dies down.
